Once you've chosen a community, a little preparation makes move-in day smooth and calm. Use this checklist for the documents to bring, what to pack, and how to help your loved one settle in.

Pack comfortable labeled clothing, toiletries, and familiar comforts — then focus the first weeks on helping your loved one settle in.
